Check Your Credit Scores

There are ways of getting your credit scores that most people know about, but it isn't free. If you want to be able to check your scores for free, I have a couple of options for you. I use both to check my scores monthly to make sure everything is going good and I am keeping up my good credit. The two places to check them are: Credit Karma Credit Sesame   They both also have Iphone apps for easy access if you want to check them on the go. Both are 100% free and I have been using them for almost a year now. Ever since I started churning cards a year ago my credit has fluctuated about 10 points up or down which isn't a lot and not what the average person would think. Getting credit cards and earning miles and points in the process can actually help build your credit score! Have no fear!

New Air New Zealand Safety Vid!

Air New Zealand is known for some pretty crazy, creative ads and pushing the limit safety videos for pre-flight safety information. They have just introduced a new one on YouTube starring Bear Grylls. Check it out. It already has over 970,000 views! Doesn't this just make you want to hop on a flight tomorrow headed for New Zealand?! Ok, maybe that's just me, but maybe not. This is one of the most beautiful countries on the planet. I can't wait to take a trip there and having these creative safety videos before flights makes me want to go even more. They also came out with a Hobbit themed safety video a few months ago. Creative marketing team at Air New Zealand for sure.

A little over a year ago a friend of mine told me to go look at a site called the Frugal Travel Guy (shout out to Stro). And since then, I have been reading various blogs almost daily to learn about traveling on miles and points. They talk about all things travel, but with the use of earning and burning points and miles. The major way for someone to earn a lot of points/miles is by applying for and being approved, of course, for credit cards. And there is a bunch of cards out there that you can get. However, the most important thing about doing this is to protect your credit scores and keep it as high as possible. You shouldn't even think about starting to do this if your credit score is below 700. Every time you apply for a new card, you credit will take a hit of 2-5 points for the inquiry the bank pulls on you. However, this 2-5 points dwindles off over time an
